  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to the butter mixture.
  5. Stir in the oats and raisins until evenly blended.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
