A deliciously easy twist on traditional takeout pizza featuring crispy bacon, sweet corn, and spicy poblano peppers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen
  • 1 poblano pepper, diced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and diced poblano, cooking until softened.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and place it on a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  5. Spread tomato sauce over the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Top with cooked bacon, corn, and poblano pepper.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of smoked paprika on top before baking.
  • You can substitute chicken for bacon if preferred.
