- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a pie dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Spread half of the brownie mixture into the bottom of the prepared pie dish.
- Top with spoonfuls of cookie dough, then spread the remaining brownie mixture over the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before serving.
