  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a pie dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Spread half of the brownie mixture into the bottom of the prepared pie dish.
  7. Top with spoonfuls of cookie dough, then spread the remaining brownie mixture over the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use bittersweet chocolate chips.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
