Ingredients
Scale
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in the brown sugar and granulated sugar.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and stir until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the chopped pecans.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish, spread it into an even layer, then drizzle with caramel sauce.
Top with the remaining batter and use a knife to swirl the caramel through the batter.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
For best results, allow the bars to cool completely before cutting for cleaner edges.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
