A quick and delicious dinner option featuring chicken sausage and orzo pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken sausage
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. Add chicken sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the orzo and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and simmer for about 10 minutes until orzo is cooked.
  5. Add spinach and stir until wilted. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
  • You can substitute turkey sausage for a leaner option.
