  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla; beat until well combined.
  4. Fold in crushed cookies gently.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool completely before removing from pans.
  8. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then frost the cooled cakes.
