  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the granulated sugar and melted butter until well combined. Add in eggs and vanilla extract, and continue mixing.
  3. Stir in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top, then dollop the remaining brownie batter over.
  6. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
  • Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
