  • 1 packet instant yeast

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Coarse salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  4. Mix the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into pieces, and flatten each piece.
  7. Place a dollop of cream cheese on each piece and fold to seal.
  8. In a large pot, boil water and baking soda.
  9. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds, then place on a baking sheet.
