6 croissants
3 large eggs
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
Cut the croissants into pieces and place them in a greased baking dish.
Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, allowing them to soak for at least 30 minutes.
If using, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
