1 pound ground turkey
4 slices turkey bacon
1 cup chicken ham, diced
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
4 cups chicken broth
2 cups pasta, broken lasagna sheets
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
Add the ground turkey to the pot and cook until browned.
Stir in the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
Add the Italian seasoning, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
Stir in the broken lasagna sheets and reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes.
Before serving, add diced chicken ham and shredded mozzarella.
Garnish with chopped basil and the crispy turkey bacon.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute ground turkey with lentils or mushrooms.
