A delicious twist on a classic burger featuring homemade maple mustard and savory turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lettuce
  • 1 tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  3. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns in the skillet.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the chicken patties on the buns, topping with turkey bacon, lettuce, and tomato.
