  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, pumpkin, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the batter, then pour the remaining cake batter on top.
  6. Swirl the cream cheese mixture gently with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Notes

  • Make sure to fully mix the batter to avoid lumps.
  • You can substitute a different flavor of cake mix if you prefer.
