An indulgent homemade cake featuring rich salted caramel flavors and a moist butter base.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  8. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter.
  9. Top with the remaining batter and finish with the rest of the caramel.
  10. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before inverting onto a serving plate.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, drizzle more salted caramel on top before serving.
  • This cake pairs well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
