  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
  6. Add the sugar and flour, mix until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add nuts or substitute some of the flour with whole wheat flour.
