Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, sake, mirin, green onion, ginger, and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small oval-shaped patties.
  4. Thread each patty onto skewers.
  5. Preheat a grill and cook skewers for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken mixture for an hour before grilling.
  • These can also be cooked in the oven if you do not have access to a grill.
